Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

Neighbors Not Numbers Coalition Inc. (EIN 41-5013742) is a volunteer coalition. We collect the minimum information needed to run the Abolish ICE Pledge campaign and keep it visible. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

From campaigns that submit the pledge form: candidate name, office sought, state, district, party, campaign email, campaign website, optional campaign social handle, high-resolution photo link, the name and title of the authorized signer, and any optional statement. From supporters who sign the public pledge: whatever information Action Network collects through its embedded petition form. From donors: whatever information Zeffy collects to process your contribution (name, email, payment details). Action Network and Zeffy hold that third-party data under their own policies. From visitors: standard server logs (IP address, browser, referrer, pages visited) for security and basic traffic analysis.

Why we collect it

Candidate pledge submissions are published on the signatories page and reflected in the candidate tracker so voters can see who has committed. We use the campaign email to send next-step instructions and verify authorization before publishing. Photo links help us prepare public signer posts and campaign materials, and social handles help us invite campaigns as collaborators when pledge videos are posted. Donation information is used by Zeffy to send receipts and by us to report aggregate fundraising totals. Supporter pledge information helps show public demand for the campaign. Server logs help us keep the site running and fight abuse.

What we share

Signed candidate pledges are public. That's the entire point of the campaign. We publish the candidate name, office, state, district, party, campaign website, and the signer's name and title, and may use submitted campaign photo links and social handles in public posts or signer materials. We don't sell personal data. Action Network handles supporter pledge data, and Zeffy handles donation data; their privacy practices govern information submitted through those tools. We use basic analytics to understand traffic patterns; we don't profile individuals.

Retention

Pledge submissions stay public for the duration of the campaign and any election cycles they cover. We keep server logs for a short window (typically 30–90 days) unless we're investigating abuse. If you ask us to remove your submission, we'll take it down within a reasonable time. See "Your rights" below.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information you submitted through the site. If you're a candidate or campaign staff member and need to update or withdraw a pledge signature, contact us. If you're a donor, donation records are held by Zeffy. Contact them for access or deletion requests tied to that data.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site may set functional cookies needed to render pages, and third-party embeds (like the Action Network pledge form and Zeffy donation form) may set their own cookies. Those are covered by the third party's policy.
